About

Like most children, Ray Wright played with macaroni and string, making necklaces for his mother and grandmother. As Ray grew up he began to use the welding tools on his family farm, in Cleveland Tennessee, to turn lug nuts and washers into rings for his mom and his sweethearts.

It wouldn’t be many more years until Ray took this self taught aptitude for jewelry design and construction and got himself a job at his local jewelry store. Before you knew it Ray had branched out on his own. Working in a small cramped office space by day and out of his closet turned jeweler’s bench by night, Ray continued to come up with ways to make his trade faster, stronger and more efficient.

Since then Ray has helped to restore many pieces from the sunken ship the Atocha.  He is the largest contract jeweler in the greater Chattanooga area.  Inventor of the Backless Earring, and many other jewelery contraptions to help his customers wear their favorite pieces, Ray has seen and done it all when it comes to jewelery.

Ray’s business has grown by leaps and bounds over the years which has lead to his crowning achievement, the backless earring. An all new invention that has just recently hit the market, this simple device has taken Ray Wright from local farm boy, to jeweler extraordinaire.
